Bergen Town Center - NEW CONSTRUCTION PHOTO'S! |
Bergen Town Center is conveniently located at the intersection of Route 4 and Forest Avenue in Paramus, N.J., just minutes from the George Washington Bridge and the Garden State Parkway. The Center, originally known as the Bergen Mall, was built in the mid-1950’s and was the first large shopping mall In New Jersey.
In 2003, Vornado Realty Trust purchased the mall and began the task of expanding and transforming the mall to meet the needs of its customer. Bergen Mall is undergoing a redevelopment that will transform the mall into Bergen Town Center. The construction has already begun and Vornado Realty Trust is making dramatic and substantial improvements to the center. On August 10, 2006, Century 21 opened, taking the 135,000 sq. ft. space formerly used by Macy's. Filene's Basement opened on September 28, 2007 and is located on the Route 4 Side of the mall just beneath Century 21.
